Meet our Sergeant-At-Arms
Mr. Johnny L. Gamble-Williams is a 21½-year retired Army veteran from Greenville, Mississippi. He earned a bachelor's degree in military science from Mississippi Valley State University and an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University. Johnny serves as the inaugural Sergeant-At-Arms for NPHC, Inc. - North Houston.
After his military service, Johnny pursued his passion for education, teaching physical education and special education in the Houston Independent School District for five years. His dedication to education and community service led him to become an entrepreneur, owning three Sylvan Learning Centers in the Southwest Houston area.
Johnny also serves as the President of Bridge Community Development Center, an organization providing mental health services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in both Mississippi and Texas. His leadership and commitment to mental health advocacy are evident through his work with the center.
In 2019, Johnny became a charter member of the Mu Mu Nu chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, established in North Houston. He actively participates in various committees, including voter registration and social action, and serves on the scholarship board for the state of Texas.
Johnny is married and has two adult daughters. He lives by the motto, "I'm not the best at anything, I'm not gifted, I'm just driven," reflecting his relentless pursuit of excellence and dedication to making a difference in his community.
