A HISTORIC PARTNERSHIP: NPHC NORTH HOUSTON AND NCL, INC. – POST OAK CHAPTER JOIN FORCES FOR MLK DAY OF SERVICE BOOK DRIVE

Houston, TX – In the spirit of unity and service, the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), Inc. – North Houston and National Charity League, Inc. – Post Oak Chapter are making history with their first-ever partnership to host the MLK Day of Service Book Drive. This collaborative initiative is a heartfelt tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s unwavering commitment to education, equity, and literacy opportunities for marginalized communities.

This year, as part of the final push toward an extraordinary cumulative goal of one million donated books, NPHC, Inc. - North Houston and NCL, Inc. - Post Oak Chapter are calling on community members to take action. Together, we can make a life-changing difference for children in the North Houston Service Area by ensuring they have access to books, learning, and opportunity.

For far too many students, “book deserts”—areas without sufficient books to read and learn—stand in the way of success. But this MLK Day of Service Book Drive aims to change that. With your help, we can bring hope, joy, and knowledge to students who need it most, one book at a time.

This partnership is a testament to the power of collaboration and shared dedication to the betterment of the Greater Houston community. Together, we honor Dr. King’s legacy and invest in the future of North Houston’s youth.
